1. Information We Collect

When you use Mythloom, we may collect the following information:

Account information: email address, display name, and profile picture when you sign up via Google or email/password.
Usage data: stories you read, choices you make, reading progress, and interactions with the platform.
Device information: browser type, operating system, and language preferences (stored in a cookie).
Payment information: if you subscribe to a premium plan, payment is processed by Monobank. We do not store your card details.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and personalize the story reading experience.
To save your reading progress across sessions.
To translate stories into your preferred language.
To process subscription payments.
To improve the platform through anonymous analytics (Amplitude).
To communicate important updates about the service.

3. Authentication

We use AWS Cognitofor authentication. When you sign in with Google, we receive your email, name, and profile picture from Google via Cognito's OAuth 2.0 flow. We do not access your Google contacts, calendar, or any other Google services.

4. Cookies

We use the following cookies:

Authentication cookies (mythloom_access, mythloom_id, mythloom_refresh, mythloom_user): httpOnly, secure, required for sign-in functionality.
Language preference (locale): stores your selected language.
Analytics: Amplitude may set cookies for usage tracking. You can opt out via your browser settings.

5. Data Storage

Your data is stored on AWS infrastructure in the EU (eu-central-1, Frankfurt). Story content is generated by AI (Anthropic Claude) and images by AI (Google Gemini). Generated content is stored in our database and S3 storage.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

AWS — infrastructure and authentication (Cognito).
Anthropic — story text generation (your choices are sent as context, not personal data).
Google — image generation and OAuth sign-in.
Monobank — payment processing (only if you subscribe).
Amplitude — anonymous usage analytics.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Request deletion of your account and associated data.
Export your reading history.
Opt out of analytics tracking.

8. Children

Mythloom is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of significant changes via email or an in-app notice.
