Embers of the Forgotten Sun

In the frost-locked world of Thravengard, the last hearth-fires survive only by devouring the warmest memories of those who tend them — and give too much, and the keeper becomes a mindless Hollow wandering the ice. Kael Ashwren, apprentice keeper of the frontier village Duskmere, must decide how much of himself to burn to hold back the encroaching winter, until he learns the flame he feeds isn't fire at all, but the chained heart of a god his own father died trying to free.
