The Marrow Choir

Hospice nurse Innes Calder returns to the fog-locked halls of Thistlewood Sanatorium to bury her mother — and inherits far more than an estate: a nightly duty to play a carved bone flute that lulls a centuries-old sickness sleeping in the mountain's marrow. When her dying daughter's cough begins to echo the rhythm of the sanatorium's breathing walls, Innes discovers the songs were never a cure. They were a summons, and one voice must be offered to the choir before dawn.
